| Periods | |
For the purposes of our billing, a month is always 31 days, and a year is always 366 days.
Enjoy the little bonuses over 28/29/30 and 365 days when they apply with our compliments.

| Changes in Pricing | |
If we put prices up or down, existing subscribers will not be worse off for having subscribed earlier.
That includes that if we increase prices, existing subscriptions will be honoured to expiry date without extra payment.
And that if we reduce prices, all open subscriptions will be lengthened.
|
| Free Service | |
We do not want customers who are disappointed with what we offer.
We provide a free service for you to familiarise yourself with the services offered before paying.
Please do ensure that you are familiar with the free service before you pay for anything.
And please note that Coincidental Matches and
execution time
increase exponentially with List Size, particularly once above 30 unless the values are large.
|
| Renewals | |
We do not automatically recharge your card for a subscription when your year/month ends.
This is because we prefer to have only satisfied customers.
We understand that regular users will not want to have their subscription interrupted.
But we also understand how annoying it can be when one is bombarded with requests to renew a subscription,
especially when it is a long time ahead of expiry.
So we set out our procedures here.
They may change in the future, particularly based on user feedback
(genuine feedback, not the hard-to-believe feedback to which various airlines ascribe reducing service levels).
At 30 days before expiry, we will send an email to the Administrator(s) on the account,
inviting them to renew the subscription (i.e. add 366 days to current Expiry Date)
If not paid by 14 days before expiry, we will send an email to the Administrator(s) on the account, inviting them to renew.
And put a notice on the results page of all Users, showing the expiry date.
If not paid by 7 days before expiry, we will send an email to the Administrator(s) on the account, inviting them to renew.
The day after the Subscription ends, without payment, it will lapse.
In that case, it will be still be possible for all users to login, but not to run lists of more than 20 numbers without making payment.
If there has been no chargeable usage of the Account (list > 20 numbers or finding transposition errors) in the previous 60 days,
it seems that you are not getting continuing value from a Subscription, so we will not send the T-14 or T-7 emails.
Annual renewals add 366 days to the previous expiry date, or the payment date, whichever is later.
Monthly extensions can be paid up to 25 days before expiry.
Annual extensions can be paid up to 90 days before expiry.

| No Refunds | |
We provide free demonstrations of actual inputs and outputs.
We provide a permanently free service (limited by input length) for potential paying customers to use for real.
We warn about the risks of Coincidental Matches,
and require this to be acknowledged before making a payment.
We offer a minimum PAYG top-up of USD2 to try out Sotozeo for longer lists:
- where Coincidental Matches are more common
- and for lists of over 30 numbers, take longer to run.
- some lists do not have a Solution.
We do NOT automatically renew subscriptions.
On request, we will merge specified Accounts taken out within the same customer entity
(defined as users having the same email domain)
and extend the subscription period on the continuing Accounts with unused time from the closed Accounts.
As a result of those steps, we feel it is reasonable to not offer refunds.
If you believe that you have been the victim of fraud by a third party,
do contact us.
|
| Advertising | |
Customers with live Subscriptions have not, do not, and will not, see adverts once logged in.
(we may put reminders of Sotozeo functionality, or links to surveys by us, but those are not adverts)
Other Customers may see adverts.
If you are connecting to the site using a VPN or somesuch, then the VPN provider may show you adverts - we cannot control that.
|
| Tool, not Solution | |
Sotozeo is a tool for you to use to make decisions, i.e. to make users more powerful.
It involves no Artificial Intelligence at all.
Sotozeo does not use the Labels field to do anything except sort the output (if you choose that option).
You are the expert on your data, particularly about combinations which are not possible.
In particular we urge you to be cautious in making any assumptions about a lack of Solutions, a limited number of Solutions,
or absence of a Solution with particular characteristics.
We do not accept any consequential liability
for actions that you perform using results from Sotozeo.
|
| Use of results in legal cases | |
Most of the time, once Sotozeo has found a Solution,
checking it is trivial for you to do, and any implication which follows is straightforward.
However, there are some exceptions.
If trying to deduce anything from the absence of a Solution, a limited number of Solutions,
or the absence of a Solution with particular characteristics, please think through your logic extremely carefully.
Example reasons (not exhaustive) why you may not get a particular Solution, that are not to do with the apparent logic, are:
- Rounding with Corridor set too small E.g. if 4000 is divided by 6 and then rounded, 6 * 667 = 4002, which will not match 4000 +/-1.
- A previous allocation (with or without any use of Sotozeo) has erroneously
taken one of the Invoices that should match the current Payment
- There is a transposition or any other error in the data (Sotozeo will only look for transposition errors if there are no Coincidental Matches).
- Data is missing some relevant values, or parts of values, which could be for a whole variety of reasons.
Remember that Sotozeo will only list 1,000 Solutions from a given set of data, and only display 99 in the webpage output.
If there are more than that, then the relevant Solution may not be shown
(although there is a warning message in the file in this situation).
We will be happy to provide consultancy services
regarding these sorts of implications,
especially if you think that the implication made by an opposing party in a dispute is invalid.
While we are willing to be an expert witness within our expertise in an English-language court,
we would hope that resolution of whether an implication is logically valid or not should be
common ground before getting anywhere near a courtroom.
We are happy to be contracted by either plaintiff/prosecution or defence -
our priority is to ensure that no implications false in logic are drawn from the use of Sotozeo.
Why do we mention this?
Because we want to minimise miscarriages of justice caused by
flagrant misuse or ignorance of statistics..
